One day it was cooling, the next it wasn't. I thought the ice maker was the problem, but while the lights are all on and the water supply is fine, the compartments are both not cooling. Help! Is there a reset button? Something I can do to avoid calling out a repairman.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KSRL25FRSS02 REFRIGERATOR | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the tech sheet, see the attachment. There is no reset button that I know of. To try a reset unplug it for 5 minutes or so then see if it will reset when plugged back in. You could try running the diagnostics. You have to do more troubleshooting. Is the compressor running? You can usually hear it, also you should be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm. Is the evaporator fan running? Is the condenser fan running? Is there anything else that seems unusual? If both fans and the compressor are off then you may be stuck in a defrost cycle. If all are running you will have to remove the evaporator cover inside the freezer to so you can check the coils for a defrost problem or a sealed system problem. Here is a good site with basic fridge repair info. http://www.applianceaid.com/frig.html |
