I have a maytag master chef that recently just stopped working. It was overloaded with a some blankets and it isnt doing anything. we took the blanket out but the water just remains inside. we tried unplugging it and letting it sit, and we check the circuit breaker, but there was nothing. Ive tried about everything as far as turning knobs goes to get it back working. Im worried that the motor may be burned out, but is strange that nothing is happening. No draining nothing.
Anyone have any ideas as to what it may be. Thanks ahead of time

And well its going again! Im guessing it must have been like an overload protection or something. Thats what I figured would happen in the beginning, but it just took a long time. After all this time researching washers, I just went back, started the cycle, and it went! Atleast I know alot more about washers now. Can anyone tell me exactly what happened though? Is there really an overload protection circuit that detects the motor temperature or something?

There is a thermal overload device clamped to the motor winding. You are lucky it worked, saved the motor.
