If the new latch does not have the switches remove the switches from the old latch and install them on the new unit. Do not bother trying to get the connectors off the switches. If the new latch has the switches get a flat screw driver of the correct width and place it between the switch body and the connector and then twist the screw driver to force the connector back off the switch.
