Hi guys. Need some help here.....

Have a Frigidair what was having super low water pressure and making almost non-existant ice cubes. (really small)

Replaced the filter and water pressure at the door is back.(although with a small leak after releasing the paddle)

Now I get no ice. Supply line from the cylenoid is not clogged or frozen. Tried filling the tray with water manually and the water froze but it never ejected the cubes.

Swapped the cylenoid wires and hit the water paddle and got a very small trickle of water to the ice maker but also got water from the water dispenser... with no wires hooked up to the water cylenoid!

I'm assuming I need a new inlet valve assembly??

thanks in advance!

Eron,

Yes, you need to start by replacing the fill valve assembly.

Part number: AP4298908
Part number: AP4298908

That's, where your problem was all along,

Hopefully, you haven't damaged the ice maker assembly.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Put in the new Fill Valve Assembly today. It's been 5 hours and still no ice. it hasn't even filled the tray. So is my Ice Maker toast too? I hope not. This one is only about 3 years old....

Hippie,

I would have to think, we have a bad switch, or thermostat in the icemaker control head.

You're sure you turned the icemaker "ON" ?

Were it me, I would go with a new icemaker assembly, just to make sure,

Of course, you can tear down the control head and check the switch circuits etc., for proper circuits and adjustments, it's a bit tedious and can get frustrating, but let us know which way you want to go and we'll get you going.

:) :) :)

OK. Put in my new icemaker assembly tonight. It actually did cycle but when it called to fill the tray water came out of the water dispenser!! And the water dispenser works fine by itself. No water was put in the tray either, all came out the door. What the heck is going on!??

Ok, I got it. Turned out to be a bonehead move. When I put in the new Water Supply module I swapped a couple of the lines. I was getting this horrible groaning noise when the ice maker would call for water and it would put water through the door at the same time. then I noticed that I was getting water in the door even no leads hooked up to either of the clyenoids. *duh*

Anyway, hope this helps someone else out in the future.

Woodhippie,

Thanks, for the update ...

You had me scratching my head for a while, thought I had lost it.

We're glad you're up and running.

Good Luck,
