My Gas oven will heat up reasonably well but as soon as you open it to put in the food it drops to about 200 degrees regardless of the temp you had it set to. Also the preheat buzzer goes off before it reches the set temperature. Any suggestions. Mike

Check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the sensor and its wire harness are good, replace the oven control board.
