I just purchased a new lower arm spray assembly for a General Electric PDW8280N00SS Dishwasher. it was obvious that this part was damaged (melted at one end) and needs to be replaced.
With the damaged arm still inside, it appears that the lower and middle spray arms are not spinning. but water is getting to the top spray arm and spinning. I just cannot figure why the top arm is working while the other two are stationary. It appears that the water supply has to pass by the first two arms to get to the top.
In any case, I will wait to receive the new part and maybe that is part of the problem. Any other suggestions?

I solved the problem by cleaning out the water jet holes in the middle arm. I'm sure the lower arm will spin normally once the new part is installed.
