I have an issue with my Kenmore dryer taking too long to dry. It takes at least two cycles to complete under timed dry. It operates better under the "more dry" setting however the timer does not advance in this mode, the timer has recently stuck on two different occasions in the timed dry mode and not advanced. I have replaced both thermostats, the heating element and belt, the blower seems to be operating fine, there are no obstructions in the vent either within the dryer or the wall. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

The only reason a dryer does not dry is that the heat does not come on enough or their is insufficient air flow. If you are sure there is no airflow obstruction, then a fan problem is likely the cause.

When you say you have replaced both thermostats, are you sure you replaced the operating thermostat. That is the one that controls heat.

If everything else is ok then I suspect a problem with the timer if it does not continually advance in time mode.
