I was out of town when some storms hits while. When I got back the control panel was blinking on and off. Almost everything is lit up when the display blinks 'on'. I can use the stove-top but not the oven.

BTW: When I hold down the 'Start' button the red "ON" illuminates as well as some numbers starting at 999 and working it's way down to 72 (which is probably the temperature in the house right now).

Any ideas?

PS: There was a power failure while I was gone and maybe power surge.

You might have been hit by a power surge. Did you try cutting the power off to the oven for about 30 minutes, and see if it resets. If you do that and it still does not work, the clock control board will be your problem. The part # is8524252.
