My dryer would not start when I press the push to start switch. I verified power to the outlet, and when I connected my multi meter to the switch the meter zeroes out on VAC when the switch is pressed. Any suggestions as to what I can do next?

What it does when you push the start switch? Does it make any noise?

If it's silent then the first thing I would check is the thermal fuse (on the blower housing). Check this part for continuity.

Gene.

Yes, it is quiet and does not do anything when I press the switch. I will check this and see what happens.

Also, it's possible that the door switch may be broken.
