The timer on my dryer would stick on the auto/high setting about 75% of the time. It simply doesn't spin while the dryer is running. The timer seemed to always work on the medium heat setting I ordered a new timer (pricey part) AP2042864 (WE4X832). I swapped them out, and the new one does the same thing! What on earth could cause 2 timers to exhibit the same issue? Is there some other mechanism that could cause this? I couldn't possible imagine it was anything but the timer. Thanks, Matthew

Never mind. I guess It had been so long since this feature worked, I forgot how it did work. I guess the timer doesn't move at all until it has reached 'dry status'. It did shut off eventually, so I guess all is well. Thanks for the great part/site!
