The magnet dropped off the detergent dispenser drawer on our washer.

I found the magnet, and was able to locate the parts diagram here, but it doesn't give me enough detail to figure out where to attach it.

Is it a friction fit? Glued?

I even tried holding the magnet in the dispenser opening to try and judge the location of the reed switch, but had no luck.

I'm planning on going to Best Buy tomorrow and start pulling the washers apart there to see where it goes, but any help from the forum might save me the trip:)

Thanks.

Is it a friction fit?........Yes I believe so it fits in a clip if my memory serves me right and can be accessed without removing the control panel

Thanks for your help.

I finally figured out where it goes.

Inside the right edge of the front frame (part 49 on the Control Panel diagram at Model GLTF2940ES1) I spotted the clip that holds it in place.

It's not obvious at first and the diagram is misled me since the line from the magnet suggests it fits onto the drawer somehow.

Anyway, I'm up and running now.

Thanks again.
