Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/29/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		Oh Great and noble Guru's. My Matag was making a grinding sound during the wash cycle and during the spinning as well. It did not make it during the drain cycle. after several weeks it wouldn't drain. but after we swithed to another cycle it then drained but produced a burning smell. Any ideas what is wrong? it was purchased in1999 model no. MAV6000AWQ. Could it be the pump, motor, transmition?

Start by taking of the pump and cleaning it out, if that fixes it then good. If not your problems may be in more expensive parts, in which case a trip to Mr. New Washer Store may be in order.
