When the dryer is turned on, it glows red under neath, but it just clicks. It stops clicking when the red glow stops. Sometimes the clothes get hot, but most of the time they are just tumbling around. The dryer clicks the whole time the red glow is on.

The most common failure of ignition in these dryers is weak coils; but you may also have a weak igniter. By the numbers, I would replace the coils first.
