After pulling the side panel off I discovered the float was stuck with sludge. After cleaning this out the DW operated flawlessly except it is now significantly louder during drain sequence. The filters have always been installed correctly as per manual, no debris. Any thoughts?

You have to remove the drain pimp to check everything. Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU43C06 UC/14 (FD 8211-) Gene.
