This dryer sometimes shuts down mid cycle on timed cycle, but seems to complete a cotton cycle. Sometimes the back seems a little hot.

Any suggestions?

Oldschool,

Apparently , this is an intermittent problem ?

how long does the dryer run before it stops, and how long do you have to wait before you can restart the machine on timed dry ?

At this point,

I would reccomend you disconnect the exhaust vent tube and check for clogs and kinks or holes in the tubing and pipe all the way to the exhaust vent hood.(this could be the reason the back gets hot - improper air flow).

You should also check inside the cabinet, and vaccuum out any lint that has built up inside the cabinet, and on the motor.

I'm pretty sure you'll find your problem in one or both of these areas.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)
