i have a maytag washer that starts to fill with cold water, at first i have good water flow then just a trickle . if i push in the knob and then pull it out i get a good flow of cold water but only for a few seconds. i changed the fill valve solenoid to no avail.

i am sorry i dont have the model # with me right now, i do however have the part # of the valve that i replaced , it is WPL 8578340. i can provide the model # of the washer later today

the model # of the washer is MTW5570tq0. Thanks for any help you can provide

What you describe sounds like a timer problem.

mine too it starts to fill than stops after 15 seconds. I think the water level switch is o.k.,timer is o.k. also:confused:
