I recently replaced the ignition coils on my frigidaire dryer, but now i'm replacing it with a different older whirlpool dryer. the old coils seem heavier than the new ones. Are older ones better quality (copper versus aluminum?). I'm wondering whether to swap out the new coils to the dryer i'm keeping or leave the original ones on there.

I haven't necessarily seen a difference in the quality between the old and new.Of course, if the old ones are working, go ahead and use them. You could always keep the newer ones for a future need.
