Hi there anyone :) I'm having a bit of a dilemma.. i'm just got a used apartment sized washer.. and it has the typical part that attaches to the sink, with the red button on it.. well, it appears that there's a metal adapter stuck inside of it or something.. I thought about getting a wrench and trying to remove it, but I'm not in the mood to strip any threads, so I'm thinking of using some WD40 on it to see if it will lubricate it enough for me to use some kind of pliers or something.... any ideas?

thanks a bunch!
