my electric dryer will inly start again, if in use, after i let it sit for a bit. also it sounds as if it is having a hard time getting the motor going when it does start, kind of a dragging sound.

Sounds like a bad motor. I would take it apart and check the fan housing and motor area for lint build up.

Try spinning the motor by hand while you have it apart to see if it spins smooth by hand or not.

More then likely you will need to replace the motor.
