Our Whirpool Gold IV has not been cleaning well lately. I chalked it up to the new low phosphate soaps but we noticed it is no longer drying either. It's a GU1500XTLB3 and it's more that 5 years old.

Is there a self test I can run on it?
How do I measure the resistance of the heating element to see if it is bad?
Any other ideas?

Any one have any ideas here? Everything works but the water is not heating up and the dishes are not drying.
