I recently replaced the Touchpad on my Whirlpool Calypso Washing Machine. Now the LF error code appears. The service manual I have shows two pressure switches - operating and overfill but my model only has one switch (I think it's a water level switch?). What are the troubleshooting suggestions or tests I could run to determine if the water level switch is bad or if it's something else? Thank you.

Is it actually taking too long to fill?
Does hot only and cold only fill OK?

Disconnect the hoses and run them into a pail to see if you have adequate water flow. If not on either one then you may have a filter screen built into the sealing washer at the tap or the hose in no good.
If the above is OK
Check the filter screens on the input side of the water valves.
Clean them if necessary. Do not permanently remove them as they are there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood.

Hello Denman,

Thank you for the suggestions. I think I have more problems then just the switch. The LF error occurs with the hot, cold or warm water regardless of which cycle (normal, heavy, delicate, quick) I try. LF occurs as it takes too long to fill and then water flows out onto the ground. One time I tried a cycle and water was still on the ground before the LF error occured and water was only 1/4 in the basket. It's time to purchase a new machine.

I have also noticed that the dryer touchpad (at least) has died too.

It's aggravating that both machines have died at less than 10 years.
