Gene, your right, I thought it would be a simple fix but I just got sucked into the parts vortex....I installed the safety thermostat but that doesn't seem to be the fix either, any suggestions on what to try or test next? Here's my current list of new installed parts-

safety thermostat
230- thermostat
407- thermostat
717- igniter assm.
552- heat detector
729- dual coil
731- main coil

I did not get clear if you replaced the thermal fuse (#507 on the diagram)?

Gene, yes, the thermal fuse aka safety thermostat has been replaced.

Well I'm still at the beginning from where I started, sometimes the dryer will run with hot air and sometimes it just has cool air. What part should I be looking at next?

I would wiggle the timer knob and see if it is intermittent. If so it may have bad contacts. You can take the timer apart to check for burnt contacts. Timer AP2042833 Lots of times the contacts can be cleaned with fine emory paper.

I cleaned the contacts on the Timer, I'll let ya know what happens this week.

Still with intermitent heat but have noticed the timer is now "sticky" doesn't progress to less and less time

GENE please e-mail me your address i'd like to buy ya a cup of coffee and some doughnuts (DD card) for helping me out
