my washer filled and while filling another item was added. when the lid was reclosed, the washer failed to restart. I have removed the lid switch and tried to test it. Not sure I'm reading the meter correctly...please help. MODEL NUMBER IS LAT9356AAE

Double check your model number it doesn't pull up

do you think the lid swith is bad....i tried to test it with a meter and i am not sure im doing it correctly

Most likely, If you can find your wiring diagram it give a lot of that information, should be inside the control panel.

I found it online...
Ok You need to test for continuity between where the yellow & light blue wires attach and the white & light blue. You will need to activate the switch open & closed while testing.
Post what you get.
