Just moved into an old home and discovered that the oven door doesn't close all the way. It remains open about 1" which lets out the heat. Any idea of the cause of this problem and the solution? I am guessing that the door hinges/springs are worn out. If you agree, how do you remove these old parts? It is not obvious from looking at the oven itself. I was able to find replacement hinges online so could order once I determine whether this is the problem and figure out how to remove/install. Many thanks for your help!

I have not replaced any of these on this brand but from what I have read you will need to replace the hinges and recpticals on both sides, yours will look ok, but replacing both parts on both sides of the doors will solve your problem...do not replace the hinges without changing the recpticals, these should be available as a kit for either side...;)
