We noticed a gas odor at our range even when not in use. The gas company came and did a check. They did not find a leak, but did detect excess CO. They said a possible leak inside the range.
We then had a repair guy come out. He did not find any leaks, but in retrospect, he did not take apart oven to check around regulator, or other parts not easily accessible. He did notice the the flame from broiler spilled over the plates (I don't know if plates are the correct term for metal parts the broiler flame hits). He then said the regulator needs replacing, and that is probably where the gas odor comes from.
He gave me a part# wb19t1001 and a 320$ price, but would not guarantee it would fix it.
The part# I got from this site is AP2022789 for 55 bucks. I have no doubt that I can replace the regulator, but I'm the type who works best with detailed instructions.
Can anyone help me out with instructions on r&r of the regulator, as well as confirming it is the correct regulator for my range?
Thanks for all help and feedback! R

Can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the regulator, or even just how to access the regulator? Thanks
