We have been running our washer for a while without a clothes guard and it is now starting to run out of balance and spill water out the top with large loads. Will I need to replace the snubber pad or any thing else if I replace the clothes guard?

Remove the front panel and check all tub springs.

If there is nothing wrong then replace the clothes guard and see how it'll work.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Speed Queen washer Model AWM573W2
