The button that starts the oven appears to be dead, so I'm replacing the microcomputer/control panel. I've removed the five screws underneath the panel, as well as the screws for the end caps, but the thing still feels attached and I don't want to break the glass "topper". I've been pretty firm about pulling up and forward, and I feel like there are a couple screws somewhere I'm missing. The schematics aren't helping much at this point, so any help is hugely appreciated! So the net question is "How do I get the oven open so I can replace the module?" Part number appears to be AP3008311 Here's the link on the website: Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Microcomputer, part number: AP3008311

BTW - I did search and couldn't come up with anything that discussed removing the housing - hoping I'm not missing something really obvious!

OK - so we figured it out. There are two clips holding the glass plate to the top. They are located underneath the knobs for the burners - pull the knobs, press the clips slightly forward and you're cooking with gas from there! (ok - I hate puns, but I'm pretty happy to have this whole thing over with).
Credit goes to my wife for figuring it out.
