Hello, I need to replace the program monitor drive on my old Bosch smu7052uc dishwasher. I am not sure how to remove the fascia panel insert to get access to the inner panel. I have the part and I have successfully removed the outer door, but am having trouble with the upper panel. The fascia insert panel is no longer available and I don't want to break anything by trying to force it.
I would really appreciate any suggestions or techniques for getting access to the inner panel. Thanks so much, Robin

Hi Robin,
Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with this old model. Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you better.
Gene.

I have an SMU-3036 and if the program monitor drive is the same as on my model, it is located just behind the start and cycle dial?
If so mine comes out with the knob as you gently pull the dial forward from the front panel and press the three white tabs that snap into to sides of the dial. The dial cover should come off and there you have the Monitor drive.
I can't guarantee this is the same as my unit - but hopefully it helps. Blake

Blake--thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, my unit is different and doesn't have a dial--just push buttons and a linear cycle indicator. Hopefully I can figure out how to access the panel without damaging it. Robin :+)
