Normally it starts when I press the start button. Now if I hold the start button, the drum will turn, but as soon as I stop pressing it, it stops. Any ideas?
Thanks, Neal

Thanks, Neal It is either the push to start switch or the motor. If you push to start switch has 2 wires coming to it, take the 2 wires of, and put the terminal ends together of the wires you took of, and put some tape around them to keep them together, and to cover the terminal ends so they don't hit metal, and then plug the dryer, back in, and turn the timer to a cycle, and if it comes on and stays on, you need a push to start switch. Part # is 279173. If not you need a motor. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts
