I only have 2 options to wash - Gentle and regular. The regular option does not wash the clothes. The gentle will but only somewhat. I have no idea where to even begin to look to correct this. As far as I'm aware all the cycles run through properly as in fill with water, empty and spin.

GE does not release their tech data to folks like us, so it is difficult to give a conclusive answer.

I would take off the front and observe the washer when it is in agitation mode to see if the belt and motor are running. If they are the problem may be in the clutch or transmission. If they are not, make sure you have no problem with the electrical connections. If all is ok the problem is likely in the selection switch or timer.
