When the BR wire is connected does the switch work?

Yeah it does. Not sure were the short is. I also found that the thermostat wires that are conected to pins 1 and 2 are showing constant contentuity which is why thermostat does not shut off. Still tracing wires and cant find any thing. Let me know if you have any ideas or Randy.

Randy's thinking the thermostat itself is where the problem is.

Yeah I already replaced it.. When i take the two wires off that turn on and off the element it shows no continuety. So when the wires are off the thermostat they are shorted. so it is not the thermostat. Whats next?
On the schematic is shows the oven light in series w/ point 2. I get back w/ you.

Hey Nat,
finally found the problem.. There was a hot wire going to convection fan that had melted to the stud of the lower element keeping it hot any time the oven was turned on.. Crazy right. Well hey thanks for everything.
