Is there a way to resynchronize the motor to stop in the correct position? (I did once clear the arms and the system reset properly. It then got stuck again on the next cycle). Thanks!

Instead you can use the ice maker made by Whirlpool which is exactly the same. - The OEM ice maker Part number: AP2837554 - The ice maker made by Whirlpool Part number: AP2984633 Gene.
