My compressor was making a clicking noise when it tried to start and the fridge/freezer was not cooling. I replaced the compressor capacitor. This seemed to solve the problem until the second time the compressor tried to start. Same original problem. Does anybody know what can be causing the compressor capacitor to short?

Very rare these short. Pull the cover off the side of compressor and pry off the start relay, it's probably bad. Click on your model # above and order the part. Make sure you get the original factory part and not a substitute, If the compressor fails to start with the new relay, you have a bad compressor.
