the washer will agitate but when it reaches the rinse cycle it will then not advance to the spin cycle. Nothing between the rinse and spin cycle. No noise at all, just dead. i tried all of the diiferent types of wash. Still nothing. We did one load of wash and then the net nothing.

Does it drain? If not check your pump for an obstruction.

i checked the pump and there is nothing stuck. When the dial gets past the rinse cycle it does nothing. It doesn't even advance to let it drain. No humming or anything at all. It is just dead and will not advance. All cycles work up to the point of when it is ready to drain. Could i need a new timer?

Sounds like a bad lid switch.
