This washer will not spin nor agitate and there is one other problem that i have with this problem that is that i can't open the case up to get to the motor. I am almost sure that it may be the drive coupler that may need replacing it also makes a kind of grinding sound that i have never heard before, Can you tell me how to get to the area where the problem is, I mean just how do you take the top of the washer off because i am having some problems taking the top off. I might be wrong in assuming that the problem is in the drive coupler so if you can please advise me as to where to look.

Your washer doesn't have a drive coupler nor does the top come off without removing the front panel because it is screwed to the washer frame. It's possible its the motor but it could also be the lid switch

Might be the clutch. The front is held on by 2 spring clips about 3 inches in from the edge. slid a putty knife between the top and front. Push the putty knife in to release the clips one at a time.
