Hello,
I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer LGT7646EQ0. The motor has started to make some funny noise when it starts. Then there is some suqeeling from the dry as it drys. I looked up the part for motor but what other parts should I replace since I am in there? I figured at least the belt but what other parts? Any assistnace would be greatly appreciated.
THank you, -Dwight

Before you commit to the purchase of the motor, check to make sure the noise you're hearing isn't the blower fan slipping on the motor shaft. If the squeaking noise is rather high pitched, it's probably the belt tensioner (idler).

It may very well be the motor. Can you make electrical tests? Do you feel comfortable testing wit 120VAC?

Because will run for about 15 minutes then it shuts its self off then we can't run it again for 15 to 20 minutes. I've been down there cleaned out all the lint that was on the motor and ran it. It ceartainly comming from the Motor area and does not seem to be slipping as it spins. I had it open and ran it to see where it was coming from. If I wanted to replace the all crucial parts for that area. What would you recomend? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
