Our water dispenser continues to leak, a slow steady stream, and no longer dispenses a full stream when depressed.

I have been good about changing the inside fridge filter every six months; the last time I changed it was about 4 months ago. I ran it for 3-4 minutes after installing, like the instructions say. We didn't have any problems.

But just recently, within 2 weeks, when we stop pushing the lever, water continues to stream out for about 15 seconds. My husband took off the face of the dispenser and we were looking over the wires. He looked in the back and turned the valve in the back various increments, but that didn't help.

We don't know if this is an electrical problem, or something else. I've tried looking online "where" the water 'valve' is located, and can't find anything.

I would LOVE some help!!!!! Thank you!

p.s. the ice maker MAKES ice, and dumps it into the ice tray, but the ice dispenser hasn't worked for several years. The coily metal part is too rusted, I think, and doesn't turn. That has not affected the water flow AT ALL, but I mention it here ...just in case....
