I bought a new power cord to replace the broken one on my new-to-me Maytag portable dishwasher. I've disconnected the wiring, but I'm unable to remove the old cord from the dishwasher. There are black collars around the cord where it enters the housing. How do I remove these? Will I also need to take off the side panel?

Thanks!

Unfortunately the parts breakdown does not show the type of strain relief that is used.

If it is the following type
cable strain relief products, buy cable strain relief products from alibaba.com

You have to get at it from the back and then squeeze the two halves together so that the ridges at the back compress enough so it will push forward through the hole.

These things can be a royal pain to get out.
