it's a gas dryer and it will run and heat up for a few mineuts then stop. when you push the start button all it does is buzz from the motor area, until it cools down, then it will run again and repeat all over. the ven is clear all the way thru the dryer and out of the house, it is not over heating as far as i can tell. and the drum will spin free when the motor stops running so it is not like it is bound up or anything like that

Sounds like your motor bushings or start winding is bad. Pull front panel and check. Your motor part # is AP2107073
