Wondering why the start button doesn't work. I replaced the control. Should I replace the door latch also

RR,

My first thought and inclination is, you most likely have a bad "start" key pad on the control panel.

There should be a tech sheet, attached to the backside of the lower "kick plate" panel.

You would be able to test the resistance of the pad when you press it, and determine if the pad itself is bad, if you have a multi meter, there are several test options as well.

If you can program a cycle, and you get a display or the indicator light illuminates, you can pretty much eliminate the door switch assembly, and we're back to a bad control panel/key pad assembly...

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
