Hello, I noticed last week my refrigerator was leaking. There was an icicle at the bottom of the freezer, the freezer was not cold enough neither was the refrigerator. The icemaker is not making ice. About a year and a half ago I had somewhat similar problem (and I replaced the adaptive defrost control board after doing some research on internet). That fixed the problem. I thought it might be the same this time so I bought another one, but that has not fixed the problem. The refrigerator has been plugged in for approx 26 hours and the top of the freezer is not cold enough (bottom is) and the top of the refrigerator is not cold enough (bottom is colder). Also the ice machine is not working. Can you please help me.
Also, about 3 years ago I replaced a relay.
Thank you

Hi - do you think it is the fan in the freezer of the heater assembly?

If the fan is not running, that's your problem. That would be why the bottom half is cold but the top half is warm.

Can I please ask you another question. I am doing this repair myself (last year I replaced the ADC), I'll predicate my question by saying I am a woman trying to do this- is this going to be easy to do? can you please explain to me the best way to get to this part? Thank you very much for your help!

If you provide the model# I can help. It is real easy. All you gotta do is remove the back panel of the freezer, and the fan will be staring you in the face :)
