I have a 2003 Electric Range (Whirlpool Polara, Mod: GR556LRKS1)
The Range keeps giving error codes E0/F3 and E4/F3 and the oven won’t work. According to the error codes, it seems that the top and bottom sensors need to be replaced BUT I have already replaced them twice. I have already had two visits from whirlpool technicians (not cheap). They keep saying I have to change the sensors again. The second time, after they changed them, they checked the old ones and to their surprise the sensors where good. All the sensors (I kept all of them) are actually good. Now they tell me I have to change the entire computer. Everything else works fine, but the oven.
Is there anything I can do to fix the sensor issue? Is there anyway to reset it? or something like that? They told me (technicians) that the computer will run me $1,000.00. It seems way too expensive.
Please HELP.
Thank you
Alberto

The sensors connect to the control board. Unless there is a physical problem, like a loose connection, you probably are going to have to replace the control board.

I don't know. Either contact Whirlpool Corp. or go to some of your local appliance stores to see if they can help you find one.

Looks like I found a similar problem on this forum.
My model is Whirlpool oven GS460LELT.
I had E4 F3 error. I replaced the sensor AP4326911 (W10181986) but it did not help. I switched top and bottom sensors - and got E0 F3. I hardwired the sensors - but still get E0 F3.
looks like I need to spend money on 'control' ?
but I'm confused as my search finds 3 items:
1. CNTRL-ELEC
Part Number: AP4433850 made by WHIRLPOOL- $300.63
2. Electronic control board
Part Number: AP4433849 made by WHIRLPOOL- $300.63
3. CNTRL-ELEC
Part Number: AP4433848 made by WHIRLPOOL - $251.93

#3 is just the control board while #1 #2 are control board + control panel ?
which one should I use (my oven is buscuit).

also should I spend $300 - or just buy a new oven ? what is the probability that new control won't fix E0 F3, E4 F3 ?
