The error code chart posted here does not match the list that is generated by Jenn-Air on the wiring diagram. F5 error code action is to remove all power to the relays for the clean, bake or broil. The components to check are 1. Intermittent sensor or wire harness. 2. Intermittent contact on ERC board.
I have done all this and replaced the ERC with a unit purchased from AppliancePartsPros and I still get an error F5. Could the unit I received be faulty or is there a problem on the relay board?
Any help appreciated.:confused:

I would recommend to pull the range out, remove the rear cover and locate the wire harness plug for the oven temperature sensor (#12 on the break down diagram). Eliminate this plug and hardwire the sensor, using a high temperature porcelain wire nuts. Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model SCE30600BGene.

Thanks for the information Gene. I have checked the sensor and the wiring. It does work, when I disconnect from the relay board the ECU immediately comes up with an F3. I did look at the sensor connector and I agree that it makes sense to get rid of that potential contact problem, however, if I had a circuit diagram of the ECU I could check directly there for missing signals. At the moment i'm just not sure if the replacement unit I got is good.

I really recommend to hard wire the sensor first because this is most suspicious part so far. It can cause this problem after it's heated up and it's not visible. You can find the wiring diagram in the Service manual. Gene.
