Please help!! I have a frigidaire fridge and I finally found a repairman that will fix the problem(which is the defrost timer). He says that it needs a new one. Now my question is: He's charging me 158.00 for parts and labor. He says that the defroster is about 25.00 and the timer is about 58.00. I'm also being charged 35.00 service charge to look at it. I'm guessing the labor is gonna be about 40.00.......ugh! I don't know if this is a good deal or not. I know nothing of theses things and don't want to be taken advantage of. i really need it though considering it's so close to Thanksgiving. Someone please tell me. THAnx!!

That is a very reasonable charge, presuming the diagnosis is correct. Give us a model number, and we can see if we can get you a better price on the materials.
