the dishwasher is not putting water out through the spray arms just through the little hole in the side

Pull out the spray arm, remove torq screws from upper pump housing, then remove half round pump cover. Turn off water to the dishwasher, sponge out water, run dishwasher and verify pump impeller is turning the right direction, if not, replace the motor.
