I have a GE Profile stainless dishwasher and it seems to me that the upper arms are not spinning, I cleaned the filter out as well as all 3 arms, the bottom one is turning when I select the option to rinse only, my question is do I need to select a wash cycle for all arms to spin or should they turn even if on rinse only? Would it be the amount of water in machine? ANy help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Craig

Here are your parts Replacement parts for General Electric PDW7380J10SS Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.comWhen you say you have cleaned the filters I am assuming you have also check/cleaned the sump. All arms should run in wash and rinse. Yes it could be a low fill situation. Just add a couple quarts of water to the unit after it fills and then check if the upper arms are rotating. Just be careful that you do not overfill it. Most units fill to just under the heating coil. Also usually if there is low fill, the pump will be noisier as it is sucking in air. If low fill is the problem then the most likely culprit is a dirty screen filter on the input side of the fill valve. Remove the vale and check/clean this filter. Do not permanently remove it from the valve as it is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood. If the screen is clean then the valve is probably toast. |

These previous comments are not talking about the problems I am having. First of all I have a washing machine and they are talking about dishwashers. Hmmmm, I am a little confused. Should I ask again?
