Dishwasher is just over 1 yr old and died. replaced door latch and it worked for 1 week and died again. Called amana and they will pay for parts if I pay for service call. $100 for service call. Any suggestions? Unit has power to it.

Jon, Have you checked the power supply connection in the junction block on the lower frame, behind the kickplate, lower access panel ? Try removing the lower kickplate, on the back side of it you should find the Tech Data Sheet, and check the wiring inside the box on the right side of the frame. You can run tests and circuit checks using the tech sheet, if the wires are OK. I'm guessing, but my first inclination is a bad control panel/keypad assembly, if the wiring is OK. Part number: AP4365012
Good Luck,

It will tell you what ribbon tracers to test and the resistance when a button is pressed, that will determine if the key pad is good or bad. Good Key pad = Bad Control Board :) :) :)
