ok well heres my problem. i wasnt gettin any heat from my dryer so i put a new igniter on and it worked for a little bit but now when i turn it on it will light for about 30 seconds then shut off but i can turn the gas down to it and it will stay lit for a minute or so. so what do i need to fix it. the dryer is a maytag model number LDG9206AAE

check for a plugged vent they will cycle on hi limit and do that or check the gas valve coils

i cleaned the vent out good and took the blower cover off and cleaned it out real good so then i take it its the gas valve coils and how do i check them to see if there good and i have some coils from a GE dryer that looks the same could i use them or would it be best to get new ones

well i tryed that and the same thing happend it will light for a few secs and then go out like its gettin to hot or somethings tellin it to stop so should i get new coils or could it be the thermostat thats on the tube where the gas blows into

Don't give up on the coils until you have checked it AFTER you restore your gas setting to its original state.
