We have a whirlpool dryer that we just bought from someone and it is not heating. running well just won't heat. We have the gas turned on. What could the problem be?:confused:

It depends on whether the glow bar or ignitor is glowing.

Open the front kick panel and watch it run a few minutes, you should see the ignitor glow for a while and then the flame lite.

If not, you might have a bad ignitor or a bad thermal fuse part AP4028180 .

The thermal fuse is located inside the back of the dryer, on the vent tube near the blower wheel area.

If the ignitor is glowing, you probably have a bad coil set. Part AP3094251
