The freezer works, although light frost on some items, top fridge is luke warm. Hole at the back/bottom of fridge seems like it is frozen, looks/feels like something stickey is in the hole. We just emptied it and turned it off. Hoping if we thaw it the problem will be solved?

Seems like a defrost problem. Pull back panel and check frost pattern, if completely frosted,Turn the defrost timer (behind the kick panel in front, or mounted on the back panel) till the fridge goes into defrost. If defrost heater now gets red, replace the defrost timer, if not remove the defrost thermostat clipped to the evaporator coil, and check for continuity while still cold. If bad, click on model # above to get the thermostat.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you with a great big THANK YOU!!! We ordered the parts on line and installed them. We are back in business, saved a bunch of money and are once again enjoying cold food.
The tech replied almost right after I posted. He explained everything simply and easy to follow.
This is a great service and I'm telling everyone about it. We are truly appreciative.
Thanks
